my mom was telling me that we have to be especially on guard during these last days because satan the devil is setting his sights upon anyone he thinks he can get.

i mentioned to my mother that jws give too much credit to the devil.

i explained satan is supposed to be a single angel gone bad.

I Snapped at a Witless Today

you know i'm not usually the type to do this, i really didn't even think i had it in me.

i was waiting for the bus, it was time for it to pull up, i was chatting with a co-worker and standing right in the middle of a whole bunch of other people, and here come two men in suits with briefcases, one looked to be in his 20s and one older, maybe late 30s or early 40s.

the younger one tries to hand me the magazines, the new way, by shoving them in your hand.

Those guys were no doubt decent dudes, and most likely not pedophiles.

But what you did was important, because it may spark in one of their minds a feeling of embarassment which may lead them to do a little research on your pedophile comment.

You never know how a mind can be awakened. It's all about planting seeds and igniting sparks.

yep that's right and it was cash....and i took him to dinner too....what a blast.

my son has been a real pain in the @ss for years, but i love him to death and know that tons of his problems were jw related.

i am a recent fade remember and was a little worried dubs would be at the place when the wait staff sang happy birthday and all.

How I handled Child Abuse cases when I was an Elder (1996-2006)

hey ya'll.

i know there is a lot of buzz due to the nbc story.

i thought i'd share my experience as an elder dealing with abuse.. i attended 23 different congregations in my life and served as an elder or ms in 9 of them.

Elder training is a COMPLETE JOKE!

We train each other! We get assignments at the Elders School to teach our peers how to handle things.

There is no professional training whatsoever. It is RIDICULOUS!!!

Child abuse cases, marital problems....the list goes on. No qualifications whatsoever.

The organization must be brought down....non violently...through education.

Too many innocent people getting hurt. It has to stop.

i'm sure it will be around but how big i don't know.. as the older ones die off or become inactive there doesn't seem to be as many stepping up to take there place as one elder said to me recently " iv'e just come from a meeting at bethal they talked a lot about how much of this generation we have lost it seems we have skipped a generation ".. after alot of growth in the 80's and early 90's things seemed to have tailed off in the western world .. in 1992 i helped build the kh i used to go to it was built to hold 250 it was about 3/4 full and growing now it has about 100 publishers they had 9 reg pioneers then now maybe 1 or 2 the enthusiasm seems to have faded at best.. i went to the talk with my wife the other week (she still active) alot asleep or staring into space when i left after the talk the was alot of people milling around and talking in the lobby.. what will happen in the future i don't know it's co's vist this week everyone will get reved up but it seems to faid just as quick.. your thoughts??

Here is what will happen...

The average IQ of the typical JW will continue to plummet.

Only those without internet access, or without an active and curious mind will join the rank and file.

Look around your congregation if you're a lurker...or a current JW Freedom Fighter ("apostate").

Would you not agree that the dumb-ass to regular person ratio is shockingly high compared to the dumb-ass to regular person ratio of even ten years ago?

The congregations are filled with insecure power hungry jerks, or complete retards (no offense to real retarded people).

In educated lands the numbers will continue to be flat - in fact you will start to see some declines.

In the Oracle's neck of the woods the declines will be dramatic.

That's the way I see it.
